WACD Board of Directors & Staff
Ralph was elected as WACD President in November 2004. As President, Ralph serves as the spokesman for Wyoming's 34 local Conservation Districts and the 170 locally elected Supervisors who govern the Districts. Ralph, and his wife Naomi their children operate a ranch near Arlington, WY. Ralph is the chairman of the Medicine Bow Conservation District.
Jean, along with her parents and three siblings, operate a cow/calf operation in northwestern Colorado, southwestern Wyoming and northeastern Utah. The family operation was established in 1885. Due to the operation existing in three states, part of her responsibilities are to develop relationships with several different agencies such as Bureau of Land Management and State Land Offices. She serves as a supervisor on the Sweetwater County Conservation Districts, and is active in both Stock Growers and Wool Growers Associations in each of the three states of operation. She holds a B.S. in Animal Science from Colorado State University.
Dave is a board member on the Lake DeSmet Conservation District. He joined the WACD board in 2003.
Robert is a Supervisor for the Campbell County Conservation District. He became a WACD board member in December, 2002.
Curtis is the Chairman of the South Goshen Conservation District. He was elected to the WACD Board of Directors in December, 2003.
Hardy von Forell Hardy currently serves on the Platte County Resource District board, is an active member of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, R-Calf USA and the Chug Creek Chapter of Pheasants Forever. He has also been active in assisting the District with the water quality monitoring program and the petition to delist Chug Creek.
Jack Berger Jack is a District supervisor for the Saratoga-Encampment-Rawlins Conservation District. He was appointed in 2004. He is active in the Carbon County Stock Growers and the Wyoming Stock Growers Association and is a member of the South Central Sage Grouse working group. Berger and his family reside in the Saratoga area and run a cow/calf operation.
Pete is first and foremost a cattle rancher. He lives southwest of Cody, where he has raised registered cattle in association with Siggins Polled Herefords since 1974. Pete has served on the Cody Conservation District since 1992. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Cody Area Chamber of Commerce. He is the Chairman of the Southfork weed Management Area, President of the Park County MultipleUse Association, and represents the Cody Conservation District on the Wapiti Ridge CRM Steering Committee. Pete is also the President of the Wyoming Natural Resource Foundation.
Mack Frost Mack has been on the Cody Conservation District Board of Supervisors since 1990. He currently lives in Cody. Shaun Sims Sims has been a supervisor on the Uinta County Conservation District board of supervisors since being elected in 2001 and is currently the Chairman. He represents the District on the Coalition of Local Governments which is involved in federal land planning processes including the Kemmerer RMP revisions and the Moxa Arch Infill Area Gas Development project. He is also heavily involved in many district activities and supports public education through participation in outdoor workshops and guided tours of his ranching and wind turbine facility. He is a native of Uinta County and is the fifth generation to operate the family sheep and cattle operation. He and his wife, Lacey, live in Evanston.
