2008
- Lee Hallsted

The South Big Horn Conservation District
selected Lee Hallsted, Greybull, as the recipient for the annual 2008 Cooperator
of the Year Award. The supervisors of the local Conservation
District Board made the selection.
Lee has given countless volunteer hours to the
success of the South Big Horn Conservation District for many years, and
he is always so willing to help with projects the District undertakes.
During the past 10 years the District has conducted extensive water
monitoring on nearly 20 sites in the area. Janet Hallsted,
District Manager, has been in charge of this time consuming project and
has needed someone to assist her during the monitoring. Rather
than ask the District to pay an assistant, Lee has accompanied Janet on monitoring excursions. For the past few years
all sites have been monitored three times a year and have been monitored
five times in a thirty day period to meet the state credible data
standards. Lee volunteers 250-300
hours per year to help with water monitoring!! The Conservation
District is very grateful for
the many hours of service he has given. Thank you, Lee.
