Platte County Resource District Wildlife Cost-Share Program

General Program Objectives

The Wildlife Cost-Share program was established to help fund projects that make a positive difference on the land working toward enhancing wildlife habitat.  Some projects may include but are not limited to: windbreaks, guzzler tanks, prescribed burning, etc.  Eligible projects may be implemented on private land as well as public lands as long as the cooperator applying for the cost-share is the one paying the lease.

Goals

  • Help improve wildlife habitat

  • Help provide cooperators the opportunity to implement good stewardship practices

  • Improve water quality/quantity

Funding

The Wildlife Cost-Share program is a matching program of 50% of the total project cost not to exceed $________.  All projects are pre-approved by the District Board of Supervisors.  Costs are reimbursed by the District after completion and evaluation of the project.  All projects are required to meet PCRD/NRCS and WYG&F technical standards and specifications. Final payments will not be submitted unless these standards are met and approved by the District Board of Supervisors.

*Cost-Share funds are subject to federal income tax.
