No-Till Drill
The Platte County Resource District has two no-till drills available for use to landowners in Platte County.
The rates for the two drills are as follows:
Great Plains Drill (not recommended for smaller grass seed types)
$10.00 per acre if the landowner operates the drill (available year-round)
$25.00 per acre if PCRD employees operate the drill (available Oct-Feb only)
Truax Drill
$15.00 per acre if the landowner operates the drill (available year-round)
$25.00 per acre if PCRD employees operate the drill (available Oct-Feb only)
A $250 damage and cleaning deposit is required prior to the release of the equipment and is refundable if the equipment is returned without damage and is in a clean condition.
Technical assistance for seeding and seeding rates is available. Seed orders may be placed through the district, if needed. To schedule an appointment to rent a drill, please contact Brady Irvine at 322-9060, extension 13.
