An added bonus of this workshop is this……….IF YOU ATTEND OUR WORKSHOP, YOU WILL RECEIVE A RAIN BARREL FOR HALF PRICE!  If you have already called in to attend the workshop and reserved your rain barrel, you need not call again, but if you have not, please do so.  We will need to place our order for rain barrels by February 15th!

The cost of each rain barrel (if not attending the workshop) will be approximately $60.00. The rain barrels are available in 60 gallon in terra cotta, gray, and black. In the 53 gallon, only terra cotta is available.

We have examples of each size at our office and you are welcome to stop by to see what they look like.  These barrels are made from recycled food grade barrels and have traveled many thousands of miles.  They have been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and have had several coats of a UC polish applied.  They may have some scratches and scrapes, which should be considered as part of the  ”character” of the recycled barrels.  The barrels have a screw on top with one inch holes, screen mesh to keep out debris and mosquitoes, three top over-flow vale hose connections with cap, a nylon spigot, and a bottom drain plug.  The overflow fittings allow excess water to be diverted to remote areas such as a garden or flower beds.  The nylon spigot is shipped inside the barrel and will need to be screwed into the pre-installed plastic fitting.  The nylon spigot can be interchanged with the bottom drain plug if desired.

Other products available are the “Aunt Molly’s Diverter”, which attaches to your downspout and will direct the rain water into your rain barrel.  After the rain barrel is full, the diverter will automatically re-direct the rain water back into the downspout.  The Diverter cost is $19.00.  In addition, “Flex Elbows” are also available to use instead of a diverter.  The elbow directs rain water into the top of the barrel.  The Elbow cost is $3.95. If you decide to purchase the “Aunt Molly’s Diverter” or “Flex Elbow”, they must be ordered at the same time your rain barrel is ordered.
