He was raised in Worland and graduated from Worland High School, attended Boise State University for four years, and then traveled with Athletes in Action’s wrestling team for two years before graduating from the University of Wyoming with a degree in education.

Tom taught school and coached wrestling from 1977 to 1988. In 1988 he enrolled at the College of Law at the University of Wyoming, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1991. He then worked with Messenger & Jurovich in Thermopolis until 1994. Tom was elected as Washakie County Attorney in 1994 and served until 2003 at which time he joined John Davis in the ongoing partnership of Davis & Harrington, P.C.

Tom was involved in all aspects of the sport of wrestling as a competitor, coach and official and has been and continues to be involved in various local boards and activities. He served for several years on the Big Horn Basin Child Support Authority Board, the Governor’s State Advisory Council on Juvenile Justice, the Governor’s Advisory Council to the Department of Family Services, the Worland Planning Commission, the Board of Trustees of the United Methodist Church of Worland and Community Federated Church of Thermopolis and was elected to the Washakie County Conservation District board. We are very pleased to have Tom involved with our organization because of his desire and dedication to ensuring that future generations reap the benefits of good land stewardship and awareness of our ecosystem. Tom brings enthusiasm and new ideas to the table and is excited about being involved in educating our local public on natural resource conservation.
