In the spring of each year the Conservation District holds a tree sale. These trees have been developed to grow well in this climate. The main source of these trees is the Colorado State University nursery, but the District has other additional sources. For individuals that would like to establish wind breaks or just enhance the amount of shade and eye appeal of their property, this sale can be a cost-effective way to acquire trees. Trees play an important function because of their unique ability to convert carbon dioxide to oxygen.
