Septic
System Tool Kit
To help local conservation districts address homeowner
septic system issues, WACD has developed a septic system
tool kit for districts to localize.
The tool kit includes an informational
brochure, suggested ranking criteria, a homeowner
self-assessment and a homeowner contract. Each document can
be edited to include local information and regulations.
The tools were
developed by WACD in cooperation with the Wyoming Department
of Environmental Quality as part of WACD’s 319 grant. The
Non-Point Source task force reviewed the information in late
May. For more information on the septic system program and
how it ties in to watershed planning, contact the WACD
watershed coordinator at 632-5716. More septic system
information can be found on the EPA's website.
